Graduating from Miami University, Deb earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Business and Organizational Leadership. During her senior year, she wrote the business plan for Puppy Playground and won the Miami University Business Plan Competition. This qualified her team for the International Business Competition sponsored by University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in which they won top Undergraduate Business Plan. Upon graduating, Deb worked for a dog care center in Cincinnati as well as holding a position in ‘Corporate America’ as a recruiter for Johnson & Johnson. Her passion for entrepreneurship led her to open the doors to Puppy Playground in 2004. Puppy Playground opened its second location in December, 2010.
Deb is a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer and leads a staff of wonderful Pack Leaders. She has volunteered with multiple Service Dog Training Organizations and has helped to raise several dogs which have been placed into working service. She is the proud doggie mom of Marley, a 12 year old Giant Schnauzer puppy, and Vance V, a service dog pup with Canine Companions for Independence.
